Garage hair salon, advice please

Hi all, looking to convert my integral garage into my own hair salon! Has anyone done this before? There will be no change to the external of the building so do I need planning permission? Will be appointments only so won't have lots of traffic to my house either.

Hiya, councils vary from area to area you need to contact them to see what they want. Some want you to apply for 'change of use', others don't. They'll answer everything for you.

Completely different business but when I was a childminder I had to apply for a change of use for every room I used for sole business use which included my garage. I also had to pay business rates (not much difference) but this varies from council to council. Id check first as if you have any permanent signage this needs permission too in some areas.
