Hi everyone

I've decided to change my current gel cuz it yellow's quickly. Anyways at the moment the one I'm using is honeylike and pretty easy to apply.

Now the new gel is way way thick like vaseline (petrolium jelly) and I'm having a hard time controlling it and smoothing it out.

Can anyone using the same consitancey pls give me some tips? eg how to hold the brush and how to make the gel stay where you push it  I push it and it just comes back with the brush. I will be meeting with the instructress on wednesday ,but I just hope she will have the time to stay with me while I work. I really could use your advice on how to make it easier on my second attempt. :o I really want to learn how to handle the gel as best I can to eventually limit the amount of filing needed.

Many thanks
An

what brand is it....?

I use quite a thick builder gel and love it...I love that it doesn't move...i put it where i want it and it stays there...i can do all 5 nails without worrying that its gonna slide.

I tend to place a bead where i want it and than drag with the tip of my brush from the top/center of that bead to the outer areas...if that helps x

Hi Angie

Thanks for your reply. It's Trosani. Not too many people know the brand. It's german but well known in Malta because one of the main schools uses it.

I will try your tip. It sounds like the our gels are the same thickness. How do you smooth out the surface before curing? Do you start by placing it in zone 2 first? Sorry for all the questions.

Thanks
An
