I am new to this site and posted a question about IBD gels but no one responded - doesn't anyone use them??
I only used biosculpture till now but have started IBD by request.....what is the difference between regular clear gel and clear builder gel?? I know the builder gel is for fake extensions or tips but I've seen nail techs use it on the natural nail also???
thanks

:hug:Hi welcome to the site !

I use Ibd soak off gels. I have tried the buff off but prefer Brisa CND gel
what would you like to know about ibd?

I use the builder soak off gel for building a C curve and the normal clear for the last layer or sealer gel. I also use the normal clear for overlays or for mixing with glitter etc. for nail art.

What else would you like to know if anything? I am happy to help if you PM me.

Hello, i used and am trained in IBD Gels., The Builder gel clear or pink -you use on Nail Extension to build the main structure for the nail. The Clear gel is used for natural overlays. so you apply a coat to a buffed natural nail and then a french white or colour and then use the clear gel again as the top coat. You can also use the Clear gel as a top coat for your extensions. Hope this helps.

builder gel is for building a strong nail and for overlays, extensions etc, i use ibd and love it, the clear gel is more likely to be used over a colour gel for shine, or on top of a natural nail for a little strengh although builder is better. the coloured gels are lovely as long as your tidy with your brush u will be fine.you need builder on first then the colour followed by more builder gel. unless you use the new soak off colours they are like a permanent polish they also need to be soaked off using ibd soak off remover, if you do use the colour gels remember to add a few layers of colour as they also need building up for a perfect balance of colour, hope this helps, syre you'll get more advise from others xx

thanks for the info. So you're saying that even with color gel over a natural strong nail, you'd use builder gel as a base and top coat as opposed to regular clear?
Also, how do you do the white french line?? with the white builder gel?? what technique??
thanks
