:irked: Having a bit of a problem with gel infills that they are getting too thick. I usually buff them down all over, then apply builder gel, then finish clear. My last client was on her third set of infills and they went all lumpy as they are just too thick. Any advice or does anyone do gel infills differently? Could you maybe apply the builder gel to the new nail? Help?!!

I think that if your client is on her 3rd infill that you need to rebalance the whole nail :)
You need to work through each zone and thin the nails right down , Start in zone one and work down the entrie nail then when you apply your gel you wont get thick nails hths

Only remove what you have to and only replace what you have removed.

I file the nails down quite thin when I do a backfill when I do a regular fill I just thin them out a little, mostly to smooth them. I only use a builder for the white. I use Akzentz Natural Gel it builds and is shiney. Try a gel like that, I think they are called one step gels. Then just put enough on to fill by the cuticle and pull it down the whole nail. Towards the tip it will be thin like a top gloss.

OH! with the Akzentz you don't have to finish file the top of the nail. If you don't have any lifting you can get a regular fill done in less the 30 minutes. There have been times I've done it in almost 15!!!
