Hi everyone!

Which method do you use to remove your gel polish?

Acetone in a bowl or the foil method?

Also, when charging for this treatment do you include a manicure, or purely the polish treatment itself.

Thanks!

The bowl method is not recommended for removing Gel polish.
The foil method is what is shown in most training courses.

What system are you using and what is advised by them?

I love the foil/wrap method. It looks more like a pro service. Xx

I also use the foil wrap method and find it to be most efficient when soaking off gel polish. Also doesn't hurt to pull your desk lamp down closer to their hands as the heat helps to break down the gels! :)

The wrap technique is better as there is minimal skin exposure to acetone.
Acetone will dry out the skin so the less skin touching the acetone the better.
I use CND Shellac for Gel Polish Manicures and they offer their own removal wraps which are fantastic, much better than foil, less messy and very very easy to use. I would recommend having a look at those!
Also I include a quick file and polish to finish the removal service and I use a good cuticle oil to finish (this gives back some of the moisture taken away by the acetone)
Hope this helped!! xx
