gel over acrylic

Hi,

I was just wondering, has anyone ever applied acrylic nails and then applied gel as the top coat. If so does it work ?

Yes.

Gel is also acrylic so the two are compatable to work together.

Many technicians use this technique for permanent shine. Make sure though that your L/P nail has a slightly roughened surface before you add your UV top coat or it will peel and flake off.
