that poll about soaking off MMA has just reminded me of something.

I had a lady come in to have her nails rebalanced as she has just moved to the area, she had gel overlays and was telling me about how she used to have MMA. When she started going to the salon she previously went to they thinned out the MMA and put gel over the top.

I wasn't aware you could do this? If someone has wanted gel and have MMA on I have always soaked the MMA off first, even though it takes soooo long!

Does anyone else know if you can do this??

Thanks for your reply,:) I thought it would probably peel away, that's why I've never tried it.

I think its a mixture of the poor quality of the product underneath added to the fact that my files just cant scratch the surface of the MMA well enough for the gel to 'key' to it. so it just peels. Like if you painted your skirting boards without sanding them first!!
