Gel overlays cracked?

I did a set of gel overlays for a client on Wednesday evening. She was really pleased with them but she has just contacted me to say her 2 middle nails have cracked. I made sure I capped the free edge, and she says she's been using her cuticle oil as I told her.

Can anyone help as to why this might have happened?
