I have to remove a set of gel toes for a friend this week and just wondered if any of you have any hints and tips on the best file to use for this as this will be the first time I've removed them on toes, and I find toes a bit more fiddly than fingers  Is it best to use a white block initially then work down to the kanga? Or is the white block too big to work over toes, I don't want to end up catching her skin?
thanks

I am assuming it's a buff off gel....I would just use a 240 grit file as it buffs off really easily on toes as there's generally only a thin layer of gel applied.

I've never done a removal on a client with gel toenails (just smoothed out zone 3 and let them grow out), but I have done it on myself :D
I used a 180 grit (to start off, a few swipes is all), reducing to a 240. It doesn't take very long at all to buff the gel off as it isn't 'built' the same way we do fingernails.

hth's a bit
