I rate OPI Gelcolor all the way, but the only downside is, that I cannot get gems to stick, but if they do, they don't seem to last longer than a few days. HELP

I've been using nail glue to stick on mine

Use nail glue to stick them. I then use 2 layers of top coat to hold them in place

I used nail glue recently on shellac for a bride wanting a crystal on her ring finger and she said it lasted a few days, I was shocked as thought it would've lasted longer. Have tried embedding them in top coat then curing but had same results.

Any tips for longevity will be appreciated!

Does the top coat not dull the sparkle?

Well I'll just say I do use gelish.
But no not at all. In fact, If I get glue on the top of the gem and it goes dull, when I apply my top coat it brings it back really shiny :)
