glasses ( wearers - not the ones that hold drink)

i have been wearing glasses for close up work now for about 4 year - i had my script made for REALLY CLOSE UP - what i want to know is - i went for an eye test, and was told if my eyes hadnt deteriorated within 6 months - i would have to pay but if they had i wouldnt have to pay - this is not right - how the hell do i control my eyesight - why the hell do we have to pay extra for having poor eyesight - its that old addage innit with benefits - i am so opposed to this for diff reasons tho - so dont get on my back

i know how u feel hun...i'm same here but not the eyesight ...i have a hearing impairment in one ear thru an accident as a child..my hearing has deteriorated in last 7 years(getting older) NHS hearing devices thru the years no longer worked for me and because it has deteriorated i had to pay privately for one cost me an arm and leg that included the device and the consultation and everything else....crazy!! but it was worth the expense just to hear again.

well I guess tests have got to be worthwhile as correct glasses may well slow down the deteriation process.

Move to Scotland as we get Free eye tests here.

Alternativley dont have any further eye tests ...let your eyes deteriate so much that you cant find your ciggy packet...that way you get to give up smoking one way or another :lol::lol:
