glitter gel tips wont set under lamp???

hi iv got a 9w bulb in my lamy but it doesnt set my gel overylays or gel or twinkle toes ??? it cost me 45.00 iv seen one with 4 lamps in can any one adv where i can get a decent one from pls

It depends what brand of gel you are using as to what lamp you need. You'll need to contact the manufacturer of your gel and ask which lamp they recommend.

Hi hon, this article may help you understand the Uv lamps more http://www.salongeek.com/nail-geek/109719-every-user-uv-gels-should-read.html. We have to be so careful with gels, because of the risk of being sensestised (sp?) to it, as if we are not using the correct lamp or using the products in accordance with the manufacturers instructions, the gel may not cure fully, although to the naked eye it appears to be. For example before I did my Brisa training, I tried some sculpting, with one of their colour gels, it looked ok (cured) a couple of hours later I decided to take down the length of the tips, and uncured gel started to seep out. Now this wasn't due to a with fault of the product, this was caused because of MY ignorance! I was lucky, I had my kit with me and could wipe it off straight away, but imagine if that had been a client! Now I am not suggesting you would do anything as daft as this, but thought, it could perhaps serve as a warning to people
