Whats the best way to do gel glitter tips?

would you do a base layer (thin/slightly thicker) first, then the glitter on the tips then a cover coat?

If so when it comes to rebalance/infill if the client wants to change colour do you just file down and reapply another colour ????

many thanks:eek:

Acrylic or Gel?

When i do them with acrylic i mix the acrylic powder with the glitter.
Do all the prep apply the mixed glitter & acrylic form into square tip smile line or whatever then carry on with clear acrylic as normal a slightly bigger bead in zone 2 as i carry it over all the glitter and then bead in zone 3 all done :)

Theres a pick of one i did yesterday in my profile its purple :)

I use gel and do my base layer...cure...apply a thin layer of gel where i want my glitter....dont cure...dab on glitter with a spare brush...cure...seal the glitter with another thin layer of clear gel.....cure...do my building layer...cure...wipe...buff to smooth/final shaping....remove dust and topgloss.

Thanks Angie xx

i do my bonder layer then builder gel to build the apex etc.. then cure file and buff,i apply my glitter using a dotting tool i dip my tool into my finish clear gel then dip it straight into the glitter then apply to the nail, cure then apply a clear layer of gel over the top cure and buff then apply my glaze n go to finish.
when i rebalance it means i havent got file alot of product off and i feel it easier for me.
thanks for the tip angie :) .xx
