hi geeks

i done a set of nails on a friend of mine and after 2 weeks she got the infills done then she was due to get them infilled again but she said she wanted them off but hasnt come to me to get them off.

today she still has some of them on and she has like a greenie infection on one of them.

she had nails done in belfast ages ago and her nails went exactly the same way.

what exactly is it that causes the greenie? i know it can be caused by water being trapped under the extension, is there anything else that can cause it?

im just trying to figure out if it was my fault or hers. she is a hairdresser.

thank you geeks

A Greenie is a Bacterial Infection.
The trapped bacteria feeds on the oils and contaminates which are trapped between the natural nail plate and enhancement.

There are a few reasons for this;
Improper Prep,
A crack or break in the enhancement,
Client repairing own enhancement by using adhesive.

It is very unlikely that the client is prone to having greenies there will always be an underlying reason.

Sounds like she has gone past her maintenance date and that the enhancements are 'leaking' .... This is why we maintain enhancements regularly to prevent nails from getting loose or damaged or leaking.

This girl sounds like she only has herself to blame, hasno respect for the enhancments and does not look after her nails .. I'm sure it was the same scenario in Ireland.
