Hi

Hope someone can help! :D Can I have some advice on bonded hair extensions. My hair is very fine and I would like to add volume, not necessarily length, on a semi-perm basis. I am hopeless with the clip-in hair ext and would love some unbiased advice on the condition my hair may be left in if I take the plunge and have some bonded or woven in.....dont want patches the size of 20 pence pieces!!!

Thanks geeks xx

Without seeing you hair and scalp and doing a full consultation it is impossible to say yeah or ney!!! Any decent hairdressing extensionist will assess you and tell you whether your hair and scalp is ok . It is important you chose someone who is a qualified hairdresser as they will know what contrindications to look for.
A hairdressers reputation is the most valuable assest they can possess so noone worth their salt will fit hair extension that may ruin your hair.
Search What to look for when choosing a hair extensionist? and a recent thread will come up and at the end of this there is a lot of advice as what to look for when having your hair extended!

i dont think one method is for better then any.. its all mainly preference some prefer fusion over rings or some prefer rings over fusion. or prefer wefts rather then individual strands..

any method if done properly for your hair..will not damage your hair .

but also depends on how you look after it also.. clients can cause damage themselves by not looking after their or not doing maintenence for months on end.

Thanks xx ive been recommended to a girl, just got a funny feeling she's not a hairdresser and I found this odd??!! Just assumed it was a prerequisite to the specialism of applying hair extensions. Can understand how important after care is, eek!! Lots of money - just want to get a good job

Thanks again :D

xx
