Then Something simple stumps you!

Hi all, iv thought and thought about this but im not quite sure.
Talking wella, im a 7/1 which on my hair throwing out so much gold looks like a 7/3, then iv slices of 10/81 through the front section, doing my hair at home seeing as iv no time at work, going down to a 5 all over which is fine, but i fancy something really ash through my slices, verging on silver, for a not so natural change, reckon if i add some 0/11 special mix il get that, or is it going to be a too deep grey?.
Im pretty good with colour theory but im still training so iv still questions!

depends on how porous your hair is and if the 5 washes onto it!

its not that porous its pretty healthy for saying it suffers with me colouring it all the time, there chunky slices so i can avoid the 5 on it, im usually alright
