Can anyone enlighten me on why i have to wax my legs every 2 weeks?

I am of medium hairyness, dark hairs with big roots (ouch) I started waxing again November last year after shaving for a year and waxing and shaving etc etc. Have only shaved once between that time when i forgot to wax before going away.

Im not sure if i have 2 cycles of hair growth going on? By that i mean, the hair that is there at the 2 week stage, is it a second lot of hair? Ive never known anyone get waxed every 2 weeks. It does happen with my upper lip too, so maybe i am just that hairy!?

maybe waiting longer in beetween will train your hair cycle as such a bit better, hard i know escpecially during the summer month when legs are on show, but would be worth it in the end x

Are you sure you're not just breaking the hair off, this would make it look like the hair is growing back quickly.

I have to wait at least 5 weeks between each leg wax, I would like to do it more often but the hair just breaks and then after a week or so I look really hairy again.

Karaxxx

It's because you have them waxed every 2 weeks :) If you waited longer, you wouldn't need them waxed as often. Try it and let us know. xx

right i will try and leave my ape legs for 4 weeks then see if i can go 4 weeks 2 times after that. Pitty its summer :-(

I dont think they snap they are good for a week or so.

Kim - The best growth for leg waxing is no longer than 5mm am i right? when the hairs are really long, does this mean the next growth will happen quicker than if it was waxed at about 5mm?

They might say that in the reference books but I always find that everyone is different. I find that the most perfect wax is on someone who hasn't removed the hair for a long time as it gets every hair and leaves the skin smooth.

Tell you what.......try the next two waxes at three weeks and let us know how that goes.

Fact is that you're not gonna walk around with hairy legs, so a girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do. xxx
