Hand sanitizers-swine flu

I had a phone call the other day from Kimberly Clark.
They told me that government legislation now says that i have to install a hand sanitizer by my door for clients because of swine flu .
I told her that i had not heard anything about this and would be contacting the HSE.
I was told i could get a wall mounted dispenser with 4litres of sanitizer for £71.
I explained that i thought the whole swine flu thing was just scaremongering. She told me that she had just had swine flu and that she could assure me that it's not very nice!
I told her that normal flu wasn't very nice either but we weren't all rushing out to get hand sanitizers for that.
I haven't rung the HSE yet but i have scoured the internet and can't find anything about this government legislation.
Has anyone else had any calls about this?
Does anyone know if this is something the government are planning to do or are KC just trying to scare people into parting with their money?

Not something I have heard about certainly.

It might be worth contacting HABIA about it, I'm ure if anyone knows they will.

This is a load of rubbish, just checked with my Health and safety manager and he has informed me its a load of bullsh**!!! It takes months if not years to pass legislation like this (According to HS manager) and if this were the case it would be any organisation that comes into contact with the general public. I think you just had a salesperson trying to bully you into buying something you done actually need and if i were you i would ring up and ask them to tell you the exact name of this legislation! The fact is you could buy antibacterial hand gel anywhere and just use it yourself and get your clients to in between treatments. HTH gemxx

Sounds like a company claiming to be from KC and selling stuff when they clearly aren't! I can't believe they would use such obvious dodgy selling techniques - did you get their number? I would report them to Trading Standards.
