Hi I seem to have a no show I have text her to remind her but not heard anything. What shall I do as I have to go out at 11.15 her app was for 10.30. Not had this happen yet how long do you wait for them?

Hiya

Its annoying isn't it - I never know how long to wait

seeing as its 20mins late which is a lot I would not wait any longer. If she shows before you go out I would just explain that you no longer have time to do her treatment and rebook - don't know if you have a policy for charging for no shows as lot seem to now.

People just don't seem to appreciate that it is not just your time they are wasting but also a loss of income.

You could leave a note on the door if you do go out stating asking her to give you a call maybe. Have you actually tried calling her (block you number too) so she doesn't know its you calling and see if she answers she may just be ignoring your text if she had no intention of coming or may genuinely have forgotten and just not seen your text yet?

If she turns up tell her she is late and you have another appointment and will not be able to do hers, she may re-book, she may have a good reason, she may just be a time waster.... not much else you can do really, send her a text saying she is now too late for her appointment and if she would like to rebook you would like a deposit/payment up front as you have had a wasted morning... or try and charge her, some do, some dont.... hth Claire x

Thanks I think I will just have to carry on and go out.How would you get them to pay anyway even if yoyu had a no cancelation fee??? Pretty hard I would think.

If they are more than 15 min late, I tell them they can have another appointment, but will still have to pay. They can choose to get another treatment, eg. manicure at the current appointment, so they will still have gotten something for their money (they can choose whatever treatment there's time for, and that costs less or the same...) My 15 minute limit is on every treatment over 1 hour, if it's 1/2 an hour treatment, then 5 minutes, that's the time I can cut if I really hurry and don't speak at all LOL

It's so annoying...even if you are not having clients after (or in your casew have to go out) it's just not acceptable...

GGRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!:grr:

At our salon, we have a 24 hour cancellation policy. It is on the wall behind reception desk and also printed on our pricelist and appointment cards. We don't often enforce it, it's only really for 'repeat offenders' and people who cancel large bookings or appointments of over 2hours at short notice.

Since introducing the policy, we have noticed a considerable decrease in no-shows and people cancelling at short notice.

HTH :D xxx

I had a 'no show' and a 'late canceler' and it went on for months. In the end i decided to charge her a 50% non refundable deposit if she didn't give me notice within 24 hours. She came back to me and paid for her full nail appointment up front once then i didn't see her again. Am i bothered? NO! Im glad she's gone somewhere else as i dont have the time or patience for poeple like this. I could of given that time to my regulars. I dont mind it if its a one off has it does happen but she was just taking the..... :D

Just adding: You watch, i'll get a call from her this week now i've said this! lol
