Ok, i want to get some heated eyelash curlers to use when doing my lash extensions. I assume you use the comb type ones??!! Can anyone recommend which ones to get please.

I know that Louise sells them for Glam Lash. They have a removable head for sterilising as well. Don't know how much though as I don't have any yet xx

Thanks Jen. Have had a look on the site and couldn't see any. Maybe she will read this and let me know
Did a set today and they were a nightmare-crossing all over the place! Wasn't happy with them at all-they looked crap-lol

Those criss-crossy lashes are so difficult, but these things are sent to try us and we learn from them. Hope you can get your lash curlers  xx

I dont know why, but I didnt think you was suppose to curl the eyelash extensions - is it ok to do so? x

You don't use them on the extensions, it is to straighten lashes out before applying the extensions xxx

I personaly, have never used heated eyelash curlers in 6 years of lashing! I know there is a difference of opinion on this subject:green:
If you use eyelash curlers on natural lashes, obviously, the natural lashes goes back to their original state after a short time. They are going to do this even with an extension on. Therefore, the natural lash is going to be put under extra stress, resulting in the extension not lasting, (the bond will be put under pressure as the lash is trying to pull back to its shape), or even stress on the natural lash resulting in premature lash loss.(big no,no) If the extension applied is a light, short lash, it could be pulled cross ways or whatever when the natural lash reverts back to where it wants to be:biggrin:
I know a lot of the big lash companies dont encourage the use of heated eyelash curlers for those reasons, so if its something you want to try, please bear these points in mind my lovely fellow lashers.

I have had some successful results with squiggly lashes by attaching the individual lash by sort of weaving it through the squiggle and thereby attaching it to both sides of the lash to straighten it out. Does this make sense?

Yep, I do that as well x

Hi, They are not on the website yet. They are £10 if you wish to order a set let me know.

They should only be used on natural lash to straighten them as Jenx said.
Lou xx

And here's me thinking I invented something  and it already has a name!! Candycane-ing .. I like that.. it explains it perfectly. I came across a squiggly lash or two one day and just thought .. hm "if I do this it might work" and lo and behold it did! :D

Hee hee I didn't know it had a name either xx

hey sassy kerry do you remember the american lady who invented the candycaning weave style lashes, and she was teaching them to criss cross over, those pics look like a matt of glue do u remember
i think they are best left to the stick on strip lashes rather than to perform them

Ooh yuck, best kept to the odd lash then lol.

It is maybe a different thing though as when I do it they don't touch any other lashes and doesn't look overloaded with glue or anything.
Although it is only usually on the odd outer edge lashes that are sort of mad looking  xx

Yes I remember, candycaneing overload hahahh

On just one or two lashes it works a treat, but she was more or less whole sets wasnt she. Not a good look!

Sorry if this is a silly question but had anyone got any experience of using a heated eyelash curler AFTER the extensions have been applied. I do eyelash extensions myself and recommend the client does not use a mechanical curler but there seems to be mixed feedback on using heated curlers after. I've just had a set done myself and would prefer a more obvious curl but don't want to spoil my set ;)

Hi, It is not advisable to use heated eyelash curlers on the extensions as it will melt them.
