Hi guys!

Ive come up with a new idea today to help me with nails as i am new and tend to struggle sometimes so i thought i would share with everyone else who is new.

Get yourself a booklet and each set of nails you do or anything to do with nails date it and also time it write the date and how long it took you, then take a good old look at the nails and look at what you can do better next time, write down the faults you have made and things that are not as good as they could be write every single fault down and then have it their when you do your next set or have a look at it before you do your next set to see where you went wrong last time so you are able to change to not make that mistake again

Then repeat again look at those second set of nails look for where you went wrong and write down all your faults.
And keep going with every single set until there are no faults on the list, each time, time yourself and date it. This way you will see progress and will know where your going write and wrong.

This is something i am going to start doing as from now

This is the type of thing I am doing at the moment as I am practicing with le chat gel. I drew a pair of hands on an A4 piece of paper and put wee note on what I did and if a nail broke/lifted I would put the date/problem etc next to that nail, hope this makes sense?

Another great thing would be to take a photo of each set you do and again after 2 weeks to see where you may have gone wrong or right. This would be really time consuming though!

Well done for persevering, by the way, it proves your passion for nails and once you crack it a client will be lucky to have you as their nail tech!

Keep up the good work! :)

Thanks honey!
Thats a really good idea there may give that a go too :green:

Hope it's a big book? after over 4 years of doing nails I could still pick fault with every set I did! even if everyone else thinks they are amazing you'll still be able to list things that could be better..

Sometimes I'd finish a set and be really happy with them, then look at them a couple of days later and see things that could have been better!
