Hi Geeks,

I have com off the pill like ive tried many times before and ended up going back on after a month due to the horrible spotty greasy skin i get when i come off it.

While I am on the pill my skin is fine and very clear I wash with dermalogica cleanser morning and night but as soon as i come off the pill it breaks out on my face and back. Its sooo annoying!

Can anyone recommend anything I can take that will stop this? Do you know if its down to hormones? I take evening primrose oil but doesnt seem to make much of a difference. Just wondered if anyone else had the same problem and could share some of their secrets to clear skin again!

And no I dont want to go back on the pill cause were trying for a mini me!

I found that when i came off the pill this happend to me but like anythink it requires persistance.
I think if you come off the pill treat the spots and oily skin by changing products accourdingly than this will get your skin back to normal like you where when you where on the pill. Then you can then go back to the skincare routine you have now.

This worked for me i know the oily skin and spots are not nice at the time but your skin will go back to normal it took me 3 months but it will be worth it i promise.

hope this makes you feel better:hug:

Hi. What I would suggest is that you find a reputable salon in your area and go for a skin consultation. It's hard to recommend the right products for anyone without actually seeing them as what works for one will not work for another.

You also have to remember that after coming off the pill your body can take up to a year to settle back down again, so don't worry if it takes a while to see results.

Good luck with mini-me!

Hi! I'm in the same position actually although I've been off the pill for 6 months now. I feel sooooo much better for it. My skin is a bit more greasy now but it's not too bad. I've been using Dermalogica's anti bac skin wash, multi active toner and active moist. I also use medicated clearing gel on any spots that I get. Like said above though, I would go to a salon and have a consultation ~ they will be able to give you the best advise after analysing your skin and going through a few things with you. Good luck! I know how hard it can be but trust me, it is well worth it xx

Thanks everyone I think perseverance will be my task then! Hopefully it'll clear up after a few months just dont want to end up with any long term marks or scars.

Why can men not get the spots! oh well will just have to make him get up through the night as a payback! lol At least I now have an excuse to go spend money on a facial!

Thanks everyone.
