Hi All,

I'm a newbie at post threads so I hope this works lol

I qualified as a nail tech in march and trained on all systems and my fave system is the acrylic dipping system. I have been using this system sucessfully on my clients for a few months now untill last week. I did a set of acrylics on a lady who's around 7 months pregnant, her extention have been on only a week and the whole overlay seems to be lifting. Not just around the edges but the entire overlay:rolleyes: and on some nails the overlay looks like its cracking. I'm really confused, all the nail prep work was done as it should be, the only thing I can think of is that the lady is producing a lot of natural nail oil (because she is pregnant)??
Hope someone can help me with this one, its knocked my convidence quite a bit
Any help or advise anyone can give would be appriciated
Thanks,
Suze xx

Hey,welcome

Allthough pregnancy may encourage ecessive production of oil,i would say try another system. Tip and dip isn't widely used in the industry, tbh because it's not as good as the alternatives :). Try l+P,the brush gives you more pressure when applying the product to encourage proper adheision. Also prep this client with extra care.

Hth's x

Ps what brand do you use hun and what qualification do you hold,it doesn't say in your profile yet it may help us to be able to answer your questions better ? x

Tip and Dip may be your favourite system for a reason ( no offence but probably because it is simple to do). It is not the professionals' choice for a variety of reasons.
  • They don't last as long
  • They are not as strong
  • They break down faster than any other system
  • They are more prone to lift
  • They are not as pretty
  • Customers never ask for it etc etc. Probably the least requested service of all for all the above reasons.
