:cry:help how can i get a lot of white paint out of a blue carpet?! my mums gonna kill me!

is it gloss or emulsion...?

try to get up (scrape) what you can and use a mix of washing up liquid and water...(cold water)...and get scrubbing babes...xx

OMG you poor thing . Did it work hun?

ive been hiding behind my bedroom door waiting till my mum and dad go out before i start scrubbing cos she'l hear it and wonder wot ive done!! its right by the door as well, ive put a rug over it for now after getting wot i could up. cant believe i did that i was only changing my bin and the paint pot was still by the bin and i knocked it over!! gutted!

I have done this, it depends on how much as well. When scrubbing rub only to the middle so it does not spread. as one of the other geeks said try and scope as much as possible up before hand. Good luck. Emulsion is water soluble so you should be ok.

o dear well i tried cold water and fairy liquid, it worked cos the paint went wet again but once itd scrubbed it, i then had to wipe it to try get it off the surface again, which just rubbed it back in!! o dear lets hope my mum doesnt move the rug!!!!!

I knew there was a good reason that we have no carpet anywhere in the house! We have either marble tiles or stripped hardwood throughout!

hehe!! now its dried it defo got some of it out its not so obviuos now. reckon if i get scrubbing again tomo whilst mums out i can get the restout!

Good luck, hope it all comes out.

oh dear....if all else fails head to B&Q in the morning for turps(cant spell) thats what my dads used before.
i remember tipping a bottle of bright/dark pink nail varnish over my new cream carpet -lucky they my parents didnt notice till we moved house!

good luck xxxxx

I think it would be easier to remove if it doesnt dry out. i fear it might be too late for that though oops
