Help me please

I have some ingrowing hairs along my caesarian scar. 6 to be exact. I dont know where the hell they have come from and haven't touched them but they are now all red. Not sore but just red.
I had touching it. It the weirdest feeling ever. I don't want to pick at it and get it infected.
Does anyone have this problem? And what do you do? My scar has been there for nearly 8 years and never had this before.

Should I just leave them? Exfoliate them? get them out?

Hmm, I don't know. Maybe see your GP if they are becoming a concern. Perhaps you could consider having a bit of electrolysis to nuke them if your GP agrees?

Can you do this on a scar Ruth and will it leave horrible bumps?
They are just getting on my nerves because I know they are there. Anywhere else and I would have picked them out by now.
I am a nightmare for leaving things alone x

I would not like to say; I'm not a professional electrologist (although I have had a fair bit of electro done on my face in the past).

I do know an excellent electrologist in Cobham though; that's more or less in your part of the world isn't it? She uses an Apilus machine which causes a lot less trauma than standard electrolysis machines would - and should hopefully be able to give you advice on whether it is suitable to treat the hairs on your scar with. Shall I pm you her details later if she is close enough geographically to you?

Hi,
Do you usually get any hairs growing from your scar which ar'nt ingrown?
I finished my level 3 Epilation course last July & the current advice for ingrown hairs on any part of the body is to sanitise the area and release the hair without removing it. You the trim it to skin level to enable the hair follicle to restructure itself in the correct position as the hair regrows. Continue this process until it's not a problem. To keep pucking them out will not solve the problem. By the way are you sure they're coming out of the scar? has someone looked closely for you as after my ceaserian 6 yrs ago i hav'nt seen clearly "down there " since! :lol:
