Hello Geeks, does anyone know if there is an alternative product to use than gel wipe off cleanser, I seem to be going through loads as it soaks right into the lint pad within a few seconds dry.

Also how do you guys remove gel off yout gel brush to prevent it going hard?

Thanks

Zoe

I use Scrubfresh to wipe the inhibition layer off my Gel.
I don't clean the gel off my brush I just wipe the excess off, if using coloured gels I wipe then apply a little clear gel which helps remove any clolour or glitter gel in the brush.
Don,t get me wrong I don,t leave a lot of gel on my brush but I don,t use any solvent to clean it hth's

I do the same as karen, but I also use NSI's Cleanse, if I run out of scrubfresh.
With regards to your brush as long as you remove excess and store away from uv light and sunlight then you shouldnt have any problems with gel going hard. If however you leave it on the side in direct sunlight then it will go hard, I put mine to bed in a brush case when not using, the same as all my brushes.

I use IBD cleanser, its brill for removing residue from nails and also leaves the brush clean and soft

I never clean my normal-every-day gel brush; just wipe off excess and store in its case.

For coloured gels I simply use some IPA (isopropyl alcohol) to rinse out the brush. It is best to avoid using any substance that contains Acetone when cleaning a gel brush. If your brush is made of artificial hair (which most gel brushes are) then Acetone will cause the hairs to go fuzzy on the end of the brush ... which is not desirable!

I use acetone to clean the dispersion layer off the enhancements and to clean my brush.

Its worked for me for nearly a year and its cheaper, only for NON soak off products of course.
