Help self employed or not

Hi iv been working in a salon for 8 years I'm currently in the middle taking it over and want a extra member of staff. Toying with the idea of getting someone self employed does anyone do this in the beauty salon?? And can offer information thanks

My hairdresser and nail tech are both self employed and it works well for us. You do have to be careful about what is classed as self employed but if you go to the HMRC website they have a very good section to guide you x
