Hi there,

I'm not good with my geographical locations and need help choosing the right place after my last holiday was a disaster!!

I am looking for:
3 nights hol
£250 each person max

Beach holiday
activities: snorkelling, mild water sports
good, unspoilt scenery, don't mind walking etc
nice local community
no 'British' only areas
Night life - very mild

Most important: No wild night life!! (e.g.18-30 hols)

We don't care where it is as long as it has a beach and a few activities.
Can anyone reccommend a good place & resort to go????
Any help appreciated! xx

We love going to Malta (my hubby has family there).
Hubby and eldest son are always snorkeling out there. The areas to avoid are Bugibba & Paceville. We stay in St George or St Julians Bay, but Mellieha Bay in the north of the Island would suit you. Good sandy beach & some watersports.
There is plenty of history & heritage on the island, a trip to the capital city Valletta is a must. There is an excellent bus service all over the island, no need to hire a car.

You have just described my summer holiday from last year !

We went to cypress,Limasol. It's a beautiful place, lovely people and quiet too.

There is some night life you can walk to but we never heard any noise.

It was the best holiday i have been on.

Hi! Your dream hollyday is called Milos! This is one fantastic greek island. I was there last summer. There is so many beaches and all are so different. First day i went at one beach that is called Sarakiniko, everything there is white!! Was like snow, amaizing!! Second day we went walk with boat, the capetan fished all the way, we stoped and for swim , and after he stop at one cave and he cooked fish and octopuse on the beach, can not discribe u..... the most happy day in my life! Every day we were on different beach, one of them there was stones like someone was paint them, all the stones had own color and beauty! U will be so tired at the end of the day that u will prefer only to go eat at night and sleep lol! There was only club that everyone went, nice place very high and u see the light of Milos, we were there only one noght! So if u deside to go there , just pm me and i can give u more information!

Ooohh, thanks for the responses, will def write them down and keep them for safe keeping for future mini-breaks but....

We've decided to go to Egypt!!!!!! (Taba) :) :) :)

My friend wasn't too sure about splashing out, (because of our last nightmare holiday!) But I persuaded her at the end though!

Can't wait to go now - snorkelling here I come! Except, I can't swim! Will I need to know how to swim...?

lol

hi
you didnt say what time of year you were looking for? - for summer months id defintely recommend Nice, north of majorca -pollensa area or cala san vincente, north of ibiza San miguel area or santa eullalia, none of these are touristy just very very pretty and no loud areas and gorgeous beaches.

if you can manage a week look at skiathos, kefalonia or lindos in rhodes.

Not sure if you can get a scheduled flight for 3 days but look at croatia too or sicily.(although not much in the way of sandy beaches in sicily(Taromina) mainly a rugged coastline) but gorgeous all the same.

hope that helps if you want anymore help please pm me as i used to be a travel agent before getting into beauty so i have some good "trade" websites you can log onto which will give you the critics low down on where and where not to go.

hope that helps

Vicky

MENORCA ! Love it!

Go to Los Gigantes, Tenerife...

... got everything you want and no 18-30's - the highlight of the week was watching the fish in the marina fighting for food. Noisiest thing there is probably the toilet flushing in your apartment.
