help with facebook please!

ON facebook, can you message anyone, or do you have to be accepted by them firsT? i want to go on it, but need to make sure not just anyone can message me, as theres people i do not need contact with!! thank you

I'm on facebook and i had messages from people i don't know, you just edit all you privacy options on your profile page and make them private,as for people sending messages requesting to be your friend ,you just hit the ignore or decline button & don't forget to do the same with your emails.

Yep, theres a privacy setting which lets you hide different things such as when you add new photos or if you want to-as Judy says-block those certain people....I also had this worry ha ha. Just play about with it and youll sharp get the hang of it hun. Be warned once you do you will never be off it!!! xx hope this helps xx

You can edit your privacy settings so only your friends can see your profile but anyone can send you a message and if you reply they will be able to see your profile so if you get a message from someone you dont want to speak too simply delete it. HTH
