Help with salary for Nvq Level 1

Hi

Hopefully soemeone can give me some guidance, I am looking to get a part time Beauty theripist in my salon to help me on the days i am alone. One lady has contacted me and she is level 1 NVQ but is very keen and has booked herself on some courses to further her in qualifications.

I was just curious as to what salary i could offer this person

Any help would be great

It will most likely be minium wage - approximately 5.75 - 6.00 per hour until she gets her speed up and is confident with her treatments.
If she's keen then give her a chance!

So many people find it hard to get a job with a Level 2 so I think it is great that you are willing to give this person a chance, good on you!!

You will have to pay minimum wage though, which I think is around £5.52 ph for someone over 22 and £3.40 an hour for under 18's. there is also an intermediate level of pay for someone between 18 and 22 and it is called a development rate which is £4.60 per hour.
