Hi All,

Im sure I read on here about someones partner/husband making them a nail table as the ones on sale are pretty expensive. Now im looking to do the same and was wondering what materials they used and also if they had any pics for my partner to use to help me?

I dont only do nails which is why im on a budget for my equipment as i also need to sort out all my other beauty equipment.

Thanks
Vicki

Hi

i don't know what they used to make one but i bought a cheap desk from Argos which has drawers on one side and shelves on the other. it was only £35 (this is probably what you would spend on materials to build one)

i do know that others have bought a camping table or even used ironing boards.

this is the link to the table i bought.
Buy Malibu 3 Drawer Desk - Pine Finish. at Argos.co.uk

Have a look at the tables in Ikea. They're not at all expensive and come in a range of sizes. :)

Hi, here is my desk, made for me by my husband with help from a friend of his

25mm Oak Veneered MDF cut and machined into the shape and then edged with veneer, it also has chrome leg on the near side and is held on the wall using a angle bracket.

hi
i was lookin at getting one of them breakfast bars u could always cut the ends off the poles if they a bit high then u can get the right height 4 u to do nails. most of them come with shelfs and storage units and a lot of them come with there own stools
not sure if this helps but it could turn out to be a bit cheaper

hi
we have alarge diy store (use to be Glynn Webb)near by I managed to buy a breakfast bar table which the width is ideal for manicures, it has a wire shelf underneath and three shelves at one side, which i popped baskets on to keep manicure products in, plus it came with 2 stool which, fold up and are very comfy. the price £24.99! its not tooo large to be a problem storage wise. ihad been looking for tables for ages, never thinking of using a breakfast bar table!

wow that table looks fab, i think we need to all set your husband on, i have been looking on ebay but every one seems miles away, has any one got any photos of ikea tables x

I went to b&q and bought a kitchen work top of cut 65cm wide and 180cm long they cut it for me £10 and I got my adjustable legs from Ikea I think they were £7 each but you could also use telephone tables or bedside cabinets it all depends on how high you want your table, mine is set at 70cm high.
Angel fingers had one that was made from the glass from a two tier coffee table that was on offer in Focus she put confetti between the two sheets of glass and used telephone tables for the supports. I think the phone tables were on offer from Argos.
When she moved house she changed it all and I don't know how she made the one she has now just that it came from Ikea.

My extractor fan was about £120.00 i bought it from capital hair and beauty and it was easy to fit.:)
