Bit random but has anyone or does anyone hire a cleaner to come to their house? I've been scouring sites trying to find out how much it would cost to have a cleaner come and do a one off deep clean and cannot find any prices anywhere.

depends where you live. im in falkirk and the average price for a cleaner here is £10 per hour. im also thinking about hiring a cleaner, i hate housework and never make a very good job of it!

It's between £9.50 - 10.50 per hour (North west). That price is through a company, it's generally £1-2 cheaper if you're just hiring a private person.

If you want a one off clean it may be easier to get a company. I have family members who do it as their full/part time jobs and they get £10-£13 an hour!
x

I might have to do a bit more research but it's good to get an idea. I've got people coming to stay soon so want to do a proper clean but I'm loaded up with the flu so I was looking into getting someone else in! :D

I think the hourly rates would only apply of you were getting them in every week

A deep clean is normally a full days work, carpets cleaned, ovens cleaned etc can cost £250+ depending on size of properly

Have a search on gumtree! I used to do cleaning self employed part time while i was building up my beauty business and thats how i got all my business! As for hourly rates etc, if you get in a private individual, it really does vary. I used to charge an hourly rate, or a slightly higher hourly rate for deep cleans.

You could even post it in the jobs section that you require a self employed cleaner for 'insert hours/tasks/prefered day' and how much the job pays. Hth xx

I have a cleaner. She comes for 2 hours
Once a fortnight. It's £12.50 an hour and
They provide their own cleaning products.

She is AMAZING. My house looks like a show home once she has been.
I think it's a little more expensive than others in my area but it's worth every penny!

I have my other business aside my beauty which is domestic cleaning. I've not been doing it long but I wanted to be my own boss so I could plan my beauty around my job whilst building it up.
It depends on area but I charge £10 per hour. I have deep cleans booked, but I don't do ovens or carpets as they are specialist cleaning. Find a company who does tailored cleaning and they'll should be able to suit your needs xx

I seriously need a cleaner so badly. I think a couple of hours twice a week would just free me up no end. We'd need a deep clean to start with I think :Scared:

I can't quite justify it at the moment - at 16 hours a month, and £10 an hour, I figure that's 8 more lots of infills.

Then I think, or I could do it myself and stick £160 in a piggy bank.

Torn.

I did it because I worked 2 jobs doing around 70 hours as well as 1 night a week at college studying to become a nail tech - I didn't want to spend the spare time I had cleaning. Lol.

I stopped my second job just before Christmas, so I loads more free time, but I can't get rid of her - it's too valuable!

Definitely worth ever penny I pay :) and I figure £50 a month is not bad really.

I'm definitely looking into this, I have wanted a cleaner for ages!

I have a girl come round every week for two hrs at 10 per hour, she blitzes the house and is a total godsend!! I work full time an 3 kids a dog an a hubby so to do a deep clean would take forever! Makes it sooooooo much easier to keep on top of!!

jujo do you find two hours a week is enough to keep on top of it? I don't know about anyone else but I find all I do is "surface" stuff, I often think I must clean behind and under things but all I ever seem to do is gloss over so it all looks ok

Well she does like the deep clean: moves the sofas, hoover, windows, picture rails, bathroom etc, so I just have to kind of clean up after us an it works well! I sometimes get her in for an he for ironing x
