Hi everyone!!

What do you do if your client has hardly any lower lashes but insists that you tint them? i have a client who comments that she dosent think her bottom lashes get enough tint on them but she literally has maybe 6 lashes on each side and im abit stumped as how to imporove this so if anyone has any tips id be so grateful:green: ???

xxxx

I would place the white protection shield under her lashes and take a pic,
then take another pic when you have applied the tint,
this way she can see for herself that she does not have many lashes to work with and will also be able to see that you have applied plenty of tint and the results she is getting are down to having so few lashes to with, hth:hug:

Thanks so much il try that on her tonight!! xxx

Do you tint the bottom ones with the eye open? At college I was taught to apply tint while the eyes are closes, which to be honest is a load of rubbish.
I always apply tint to the bottom ones first, with the eye open and then put plenty on when they are closed.
I first tried this on my sis who is a red head and she too has hardly any lashes and they are nearly white!
Give it a go hun xx

hi

yeah thats how we wer trained with the eyes closed to, i have recently started doin it with the eyes open but this client panics having the brush come so close to her eye so she will keep it open as long as she can but then pretty soon has to close it:irked: !!!

I find it ok if they blink. I usually stop every few seconds or so to let my client blink. To this day (touch wood lol) it has never gone in the eye. Just assure your client everything will be ok and explain that you have your bowl of water ready incase she feels a little sting (which wont happen if you are acurate and careful). I usually just say if you do feel a bit of a sting then let me know and all i will do is tilt your head to one side and apply a drop of water into the corner of your eye.
They are always fine when they know what to expect ...well apart from the really annoying ones lol and if shes not happy with it hun all you can do is explain to her that her bottom lashes are not going to tint as well as she would like. xxx

i have never tinted with the eye open and i still manage to tint bottom lashes,
i split and cut a cotton pad to shape vaseline one side and ask the client to look backwards , place the pad under the bottom lashesthen close eyes , apply vaseline to top lid and apply tint using a wooden cuticle stick not a brush just scoop and place all over lashes then apply damp pad over eyes
works like a treat every time xxx:)

All of the suggestions here are things I would try too but here's another one ~ having put the cotton pad with petroleum jelly under the eye and got the client to gently close her eyes, make sure you gently pat the cotton pad flat so all of her eyelashes are over the pad (sorry if you already do that ~ just making sure I'm explaining everything!) then get some of the tint on to an orange wood stick and kind of roll it under the top lashes and onto the lower lashes. Once you feel there is enough on (which isn't too much at all) pat the top lashes on to the tint and apply more tint to cover all of the top lashes. Hope that helps a bit ~ might be a bit less daunting for the client xx
