hi:)
k...blonde...i hate doin blonde!!
i never get the shade im lookin for!
i did my cousins hair yesterday..her natural base is 5/0.
she wanted an all over blonde! but wanted a white blonde!!!
a friend of mine recommended decko cream in silky!
i knew with 30vol i wouldnt get the lift but didnt
want to put 40vol on the scalp! her hair is the base of an 8ish now
very yellow lookin!..she wants it brighter and cleaner...do i go back in again with the decko cream and 30vol? and for the future,
how do i get such a bright clean blonde on such naturally dark hair??

eeeek nooo, dont go back in wit 9% jeeeeesus. . . LOL. . . why dont u try doin foils scattered throo it bleach in 6% and then tone the whole lot with an slightly ashy toner to help clean it up a bit and unify the duller and the brighter colours. . .and in future, do test pieces forst so u know wot ur gonna get and show the client wot u can safly get the colour to and let them know that anymore than that will compromise the condition of their hair. .

how long is the hair? if its short you could bleach and tone it again if the scalp and hair condition is ok - if its bob length or longer then id do as scotty dolly says ,without a doubt.
In future , if you want to bleach a dark base , id use back to back slices that way you can use higher peroxide to get more lift , although with a lot of build up it can be tricky to get close enougth to the roots ,as every little bit of dark shows

Hi, this may help for the next time you do it
I use a high lift bleach called Blue frosting gel lotion by proclere oil bleach
its in a dark blue box with pale blue writing
its specially made for on the scalp bleaching only
from a level 5 it produces up and beyond (that very pale blonde )
without the burning or the itch ,
it comes with sachets of blue frosting boosters for the degree of lightness you want

it's so much less discomfort for the client and you only ever use 6% with it
check it out its fab and fast too .
you can buy a single application box which has in it a bottle of blue oil gel bleach and some booster sachets , so you only need to add your 6% developer

I get mine from salons direct or sallys
they also do proclere toners for afterwards
to tone bleached hair , these are made to go with the bleach
and they have
a range of tones that dont get any grab,
just ask to see the colour ring ,

Wella also do a lovely Colour Fresh toner for blonde bleached hair in 0/6 sliver ,

The hair first needs to be lightened past that baby chicken yellow blonde and up to that light creamy stage
(just like the inside of a banana skin) with the Blue frosting oil gel bleach ,

(but don't go past the creamy stage or condition may be lost and toner will not hold ),

Then when the 0/6 toner is used after washing off the blue frosting oil bleach ,
it will give that white platinum blonde look
or use the proclere range of toners,

Ps , always follow all manufactures instructions and always perform strand tests and skin tests before any bleach or tint procedure

 minky

Hi,
I use Indola. I normally would do T-section of highlights with bleach and low peroxide so that they can develop slowly longer and there is no risk of hair breaking. Then I do full head color ( or roots only, if I have done this before ) with Indola 9.32. I lift it with volume 40, and so far never had any problems. This would give a lovely natural pure blonde look.
Bleach highlights break the yellownes of the gold.
Just the only note to say would be, it is always good idea to do a test strand first, so you will know what the color is going to be. And they will appreciate if you are being carefull and show them that you are a true professional.

With this lightener , how many boosters would u recommend for stubborn level 7 hair , and if u add more boosters does it then start to burn

Did you apply to your clients mid length and ends first?
