Hi Girls & Guys

I have 2 close friends who have given up as nail techs & they have offered me their kit.

I dont know what to offer them for it...there are 9 pots of Creative Polymer 8/10 size (normally £10-from creative)
A creative crystal pro brush
Cuticle remover
Radical small liquid
solar spray etc etc & lots more.

Want to give them a fair price for it - please help!!

Me personally. nothing,, as products could be contaminated, but more importantly you have no training and do not know how these products work, what they are made of.

Why not ring sweetsquared and get yourself proper traing and certs and you recieve your kit with this. xx

Good advice there!

Is your friend who is selling you the kit qualified to use the system apply/artificial nails?
If she isnt im sure she is going to show you!!!!!!! not that its a good idea, im clearly predicting here.
it is bad idea indeed especially if you do not have knowledge surrounding contra-indications etc etc.

Personally I would have a look on ebay and see what things are going for. Or even find out and add up all the prices of the stuff and make her an offer. Has your friend not said how much she actually wants for it. Maybe some idea so you dont offend her. As for training, others are right you do neede to do the training, but if you are only doing your own nails then I dont see any harm in buying these from a friend and then trying them out on yourself. Maybe your friend can help you out and show you how to do it. If you want to PM me and send me a list of exactly all of the products them you can and I will let you know what I would pay for them. But your friend definately needs to give you some idea what they want for them, as you might be far out. Thanks. Abi

Are you serious?! :Scared: this is a professional forum and this is NOT what a professional would advise anyone to do

I am a proffessional! Qualified in 2008 but only do this very part time! Just wondered what you guys would pay?

Have you asked them if or what they want for it?

Dont see that there should be a problem if she was only doing her own nails, as she said she is a professional and not a newbie and we all start somewhere. Lets face it if she had gone to college and qualified that wouldnt have made it better (as speaking from experience) you dont always learn everything, and sometimes you need to practice on yourself alot before doing anyone elses nails.

Of course I have paid alot of money for my nail courses including creative and creative one to one skill building, which I have to say I find the best for l & p, but I started out practicing on myself with a rio gel kit.

At the end of the day you can buy these from argos and anyone can use these. Alot of people come on here and spend hours reading threads on here to learn how to do nails. Sometimes, its nice just to give a helping hand to folks. NO HARM DONE. AFTERALL, I DID ADVISE HER TO ONLY TRY ON HERSELF.
