Just want to say a big thank you 2 every 1 whos recommended spray tan soloutions
now what to charge im going to be mobile i was think £15
is this to low to charge or even 2 high
and im giving all new customers £5 off with a flyer only to reel them in
also recommend a friend get £5 off next spray tan
also doing a loyaty card have so many tans ie 7 get the 8th tan free
has any 1 got any more ideas on how 2 reel them in
my daughter has designed all my flyers to keep cost down
ive ordered the free buissness cards from vista print
im loving this site so many ideas and every 1 is so lovely xxx

I think 15 is maybe just a lttle low but it depends on your area. I'm starting at 18 as that's not vastly undercutting ocal salons but is on a level with their cheapest offers. I am quite happy with the profit I will make on that and it gives me a little leaway for the odd promotion.
If 2 friends book together then it's 15, as I only have one journey, set up etc. It also encourages them to recommend a friends. Everyone seems more then happy with this.
Have you thought about promoting parties, e.g. Hostess gets her tan free with 6 paying guests. I am also charging 15 each for this so the guests gain from it too.

hello and welcome to geek our mobile girls usually charge 20 for a single home visit but 30 if there are 2 people to be tanned but i wouldnt go lower than 15 p p even if you have a party of 5 its very hard to put prices up if you start very low
The best way to promote your tan is for people to see it so obviously wear it yourself and maybe do your hairdresser,or pub barmaid for free,people always ask have you been on hols ect and it gets the word out that your doing tanning, Peolple actually seeing the results is better than any local ads service
for the cost of 100ml solution for 2 tans every fortnight aprox 4 quid and a bit of time you get your product seen and talked about, who really reads free adds ect
if you do a flyer campaign put a little tab on the bottom something like this leaflet has been produced using recycled paper, if this service is not for you please pass it on to someone who may be interested:lol::lol: or place in the correct recycle bin

dont expect to be a millionare over night it takes time to build clientel but we have some part time mobile girls getting through 3 litres a month now thats 60+ tans :lol::lol: hth

Hi, It's always helpful to work out your expenses and then see how much you will potentially make and then you can decide if your still happy.

Very roughly speaking you'll pay around 20% for tax and NI, so already your profit is down £12.

Your car is going to cost you around £1 in petrol, per ten miles, so your down to £11 (if you stick to a 5 mile radius).

Your solution will cost around £1 to £2 per person (depending on how much you use), new total £9

Disposable underwear/hair cap, sticky feet etc, around £1. Total profit now down to £8

There are other more general business costs that should be included (car running costs, insurances, advertising etc) but I might be getting a bit too trivial:lol:

Then there's the cost of any website you'll be wanting, printer cartridges and paper/card for your flyers (which does add up when you're printing loads at home) plus other little incidentals.

If you're doing an opening offer of £15 per tan, you should perhaps do it for a very limited time - say one month - then at least everyone knows exactly where they are.

Until recently my price was £20 for a single tan or £18 each for a double appointment or party (with host free with 5+ friends).

Since 1st September my prices have been £25/single and £20/double/party with a Have 5 Tans and Your 6th is FREE loyalty scheme.

A couple of weeks ago I did a TanTastic Tuesday Offer of £15 and got literally only a couple of extra bookings. I still find most peeps want their tans on Thursdays and Fridays for their weekends.
