ok this sounds a daft question, but i just got a new pushie and coz i have been using mine for yonks i am so used to it , and my god it must be so blunt ,, the new one is a lot better ,
granted my old one does the job but the new one is ace

so just being nosy how often do you find you change your tools ? pushies , curettes etc..

well since ive only just started, mine are all brand new, less than 3 months old, but ill watch this thread with interest , so i know when i should be buying new ones

xxxxx

well you see my tools are like my slippers , am totally comfortable with em and am reluctant to change em ,
am ashamed to admit my curette is 4 yrs old :o

I never replaced my metal pushies...I have 2 ....I've had 1 for about 8 or so yrs and the other about 4yrs.....
and my assortment of cuticle/acrylic nippers I've just had them re-sharpened when needed.....last pair I bought was about 4 yrs ago....I'm comfy with my stuff and reluctant to change....

I renewed my EZ Flow Pro pusher this year ... after nearly 7 years. Firstly i couldn't believe how much the old one had worn away just from pushing back cuticles! But secondly I was so disappointed! I remember when I got my first one it was so sharp and just the mutts nuts but this new one is really blunt and really doesn't perform as well ... and I just love to get as much cuticle and gunk out as I can ... I'm a gunkahlic :green: and this one really doesn't cut the mustard like my old one did when it was new:cry:.

I'm a bit of a shoppaholic and seem to buy a new pushie every year or so, having said that I still have my first one (over 4 years old) and still use it. Ahhh Nostalgia :green: Strangely it is a little blunt but just as good as some of the newer purchases lol.

I get my old tools resharpened every year or so. Have had most of them for years and years and years. I send them to good old Richard Batten-Edwards in Milton Keynes.

now i knew about getting my scissors re sharpened , but never even thought about my tools ,
i love my original designer nails kit that i bought when i trained and love my pushie and cannot seem to get comfortable with any other brand , so at least now i know i can get it sharpened :green:
