Hi all,

I have just passes my nvq lvl2 nail tech course, just gotta wait for my certificate to come through.
Where do i go from here though? im not sure how to get myself into a salon. I would like to do a bit of freelance too.
Does anyone have any advice please?

I think if it were me I would just write to all salons, whether they are avertising for staff or not, It cant hurt.

When I finished my level 2 nvq I then went on to do lots of research on hear and other places to find the best product for me to do a conversion course with , This is what I did and its my advice to you

Congratulations!! I finish in a few weeks too, just a few more assessments and then I'll be waiting for my certificate. Can't wait!

thank you al so much for your support and good luck to those of you who have your assessments coming up. thank you for the advice aswell, i will send letters and see where i go from there. im gonna get used to doing nails proffesionally and then go for lvl 3. i would like to do some other courses as well so better get saving lol

CONGRATULATIONS

I've got my very last assessment tonight (Maintenance) and then hopefully I will have passed my VTCT in Nail Tech.

I already have my own salon/treatment room whichever you would like to call it, set up in my spare room and i've been working from there since I started my man/ped and waxing course.

My next plan is to do a L&P Conversion course with CND and then as months/years go by, just keep updating my skills/knowledge by attending new courses etc.
