In Novemeber, I paid for some coloured acrylic from a certain Tammy Taylor trainer/distributor. She had to order the product in from the States so I was happy to wait.
Since February I have been trying to get in touch with her to get a refund, as the colour I wanted was for Christmas, and as I have waited soooo long now, I just want my money back.
She is not answering her door, my calls nor my texts.:mad:
I have tried the nice approach, I have tried the 'lets be reasonable' approach, and yesterday i text with the 'for the love of god, just send me my refund' approach. Nothing!!!
I am sooooo frustrated.
What can I do??? Its not even a lot of money, but the principle is that she took my money in good faith and now is just avoiding me.

Have you tried to contact the Tammy taylor company directly about this.

was she a authorised distributor of TT....?

I am sure that if you email TT she will do something for you. On her website is "ask tammy" link just click on it and let her know what happened. Good luck!!

Yes she is an authorised Tammy Taylor distributor and trainer (or so I was to believe from her).

Thanks for your replies, Im heading off the the TT website now, might get some help for there.

I'll let you know how I get on.....

This is certainly not the way any professional supplier should work the customer is ALWAYS right it does not matter if you lose out to a point you can not do that to people or you get a bad rep its just not the way business goes in my opinion anyway, for future reference never pay for an item that is not in stock, if i don't have it i wont sell it and thats they way it should be

for future reference never pay for an item that is not in stock,

You will find that many companies will take payment from you upon ordering, whether the item is in stock or not. It annoys the sh*it out of me but there's little I can do about it. I've had it out with them on a number of occasions but they're adamant - payment on ordering.

And I know it's a controversial point but I no longer accept orders for out of stock items without taking a deposit. I've been stung once too often with the "oh, I've changed my mind now" conversation. Grrr.

I have been in touch with TT and they are enquiring further for me...watch this space.....

I agree and if its a high price item i would probably require a deposit if it was really wanted before my next general re-order point, but i have found that people paid then i have ordered the item from my suppliers, that have then not been able to supply me, then i end up letting the customer down, so i try to stick to the rule, "if i don't have it, i can't sell it"

but good luck

hi, this is very sad and very very unprofessional. I wish you all the best. I certainly hope she loses her distributor with TT products, as this is very bad for business..

Makes a person wonder if this lady has done this before???

Good Luck. Will be keeping my eye on this topic to see if you have a sucessful end to this .... :)

I got a response from the ladies daughter a few days back telling me that her mother is unwell.
Felt a little guilty having gone through Tammy Taylor, which has obviously sparked a response from her daughter, but if they had only contacted me after the numerous emails, calls, texts and even me dropping by, then it wouldnt have got to this.
I replied to the text message, saying i was sorry to hear about her mum, and if she could sort out a refund that would be perfect.
That was on the 18th so i am still trying to give her the benefit of the doubt (even though i have been trying to do this for the last 7 months ), not sure if I believe the text at all if Im honest. Still nothing so far.....
This is not the first time I have had trouble with this woman, I no longer use Tammy Taylor products because of the problems i had with contacting this woman. I am just kicking myself for giving her the benefit of the doubt that one last time.
I'll keep you updated....

I really like the TT Prizma powders but I gave up on them cos of similar issues. I do still have my US TT account and I contacted Yiza over in head office (she handles international salons/techs) and am in process of setting up a direct account from here in NZ.

Keep us posted OK?

Nancy :)

Well, still no response from the woman's daughter, and no refund has appeared , what can I say, Im surprised - NOT!!

Also just had a very interesting chat with a lovely lady (Hi Bubbles!!!) and was given very interesting news that, I AM NOT ALONE!! This woman has cheated and lied to many a person!!

Im on a mission now, the amount of money is not the issue, I am not having someone thinking they have got the better of me!! What goes around comes around, and she cannot hide forever!! Just have to be smarter than the average ripoff merchant!!! :green:

I will continue to keep you all posted....what I can say especially to anyone considering doing business with this woman to AVOID HER LIKE THE PLAGUE!!

Off to contact Tammy Taylor again.....:wink2:

GOOD LUCK
Hope you get it sorted soon xx

OMG, I dont know whether Im coming or going!!!
I just phoned this woman, she answered so I just asked her politely for my refund straight out.
She didnt sound well, but I thought I'd just stick to why I was phoning her. She said her daughter was helping her and I would get a chq in the post, and then burst out crying saying it was because she is so ill!!!
She said sorry she would have to go.
Now part of me is feeling sorry for her and my ranting about my money back and the other half is wondering if Im being taken for a fool again and this was her way to get me off the phone?!?!?!
I have had a few private mails from a few of you girls saying you have had problems with this woman too, so now I dont know what to think.
I am not heartless, if she is truely ill then I wouldnt wish that on anyone, but if not - am i really this gullible????
We will see if this chq arrives....maybe that will tell me something!

I have heard that phrase so many times:eek:....i hope it goes well for you...it sounds like a scam to me though...i would feel no guilt for her,but then i do not suffer fools gladly:!:

I didnt think I did either!!!!

I had a similar thing happen to me recently. I went to a Tupperwear party in Feb, got my order in March with one small item missing.
It took months of phoning, emailing, more phoning, more emailing... about 2 weeks ago the lady finally contacted me saying her sister is ill in hospital and that has been all consuming for her.

I said, "I'm sorry to hear that, hope your sister gets well soon & when will I have my item". She said she'll send it out right away.

2 weeks later nothing, so I phone Tupperwear who contacted her and the item came 3 days later.

It is unfortunate the lady you're dealing with is ill... but once upon a time she wasn't and it should have no bearing on her integrity what so ever. For all you know, she could be gravely ill!! But she can be gravely ill with integrity or gravely ill and not do what she said she will do by when she said she would do it. Depends on what type of ill person she chooses to be.
I hope it all works out for you, Good Luck :green:

I have been asked by a friend to make sure that everyone is aware that the Tammy Taylor distributor is based in ABERDEEN, SCOTLAND.

Your are right about being ill with integrity or not, for what I can gather from various people who have dealt with this woman, she is ALWAYS ill, whether it be true or not, she should not be in business.

I have had a response from Tammy Taylor, who is working through my emails at the minute. She is sending - via another distributor - my Prizma powder free of charge (or not, since I have actually paid for it), BUT the gesture of goodwill from the TT Company itself is very much appreciated.:green:

At the very least then, I can have a little closure there, as I doubt it would have come to that with this woman!

Thanks everyone for reading this thread, and for your private messages too.
If this thread has made one person avoid this woman, then that is satifaction enough for me!!

Just so I can have total closure on this sorry mess....

I thought I would post and let you all know that I went in passed this lady on the off chance she would be in, and she was, and I finally received my money back.....10 months later.

I feel again, a little stab of guilt as she was so nice to me, but I know I shouldnt.

Anyways, done and dusted. :green:

THE END
