Hi

I completed a course last week and learnt how to do Acrylics, Gels, Silks and fibreglass.

My friend is going to a wedding this weekend and has asked me to do her nails on friday night.

She works in starbucks, so will only be able to have the nails on for the weekend. So i'm not wanting to do anything that takes ages, and something that is not too difficult to remove.

I have all the equiptment for acrylics, silk and fibreglass, so gel isnt an option at the moment.

She is wearing a cream dress, with delicate black lace on the edge.

Does anyone have any ideas for nails that would go nicely with her dress (any pictures would be great too)?

Thanks a million

Kathryn

hi, i would do fibreglass or acrylic, white tips with maybe glitter or something across the smile line, with maybe a couple of black rhinestones , have a lokk at the geek gallkery on this site or google acrylic nails photos to get ideas xx

Maybe a natural acrylic painted cream or slightly darker with some black nail art/ diamantes on the ring finger.
Don't forget to add the price for the soak off she will need in your price, and book her in for that too hun x

I have also read on here about using water based acrylic paint from craft shops for nail art...

Do you just paint on the design, and put a coat of clear/top coat enamel over the top?

Does it smudge if you apply a top coat?

I think it would be much easier to do nail art with paint, rather than enamel, as it tends to be too gloopy!

i use acrylic paints and no if they are dry they shouldnt smudge. Try not to drag the varnish over the paint though, I apply a large gloop of varnish then gently drag it over the nail. I apply about three coats.

You could always buy some delicate black lace and apply it across the nail either at the tip or diagonally cross the whole nail.

Or how about black 3d roses over the nail.

I use water based craft acrylic for nail art and I use the Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat and it never drags my designs, dries super fast and super shiney. Really enhances the design and gives it a professional finish.

I also use this as a top coat for airbrushing and it's fab for that too.

Good luck.

How about a tradtional pink and white with some black flicks? Love the black lace and stones idea too.
