Hello...have u ever told a Client you didn't want to do their nails for whatever reason?

I do nails part-time (I use CND ) and I am happy with it at the moment...I have my clientele set up and of course always happy to have more clients...BUT...this lady has been coming to me 3 times now, had her L&P full set...and jeeeeezz she is a pain!...I think she complains just so that she can ask for discount and even for me to do it for free!! (which I have done once!!!)...she calls me every 3 to 4 days to say something is wrong!...

is it me? I dont think so cause all of my other clients are happy...never complain and I experience very little lifting (always handing out my CND After Care leaflets)...

I dont want to do her anymore...its not worth it...

what do you think?..pls tell me off if u have to! lol

I had one that i recently said i wouldnt do them.

She was one of my very first practises and only offered as i was only charging for product. TO be fair they werent great and she was a biter so didnt last.

Several months later she come in for a full set after seeing my recent work and paid full price.
a week later she had a couple of breakages and because i wasnt confident enough they were not application related i offered to repair and at the same time do her infiills FOC. thinking it was a business decision and a happy client is a regular client.

She then missed her 2 week infill appointment first claiming she had to remove them for an operation, then she told my friend they had fallen off and then at a social gathering she told the whole group the hospital had removed them whilst she was under a general!!

So no, i wont be doing her again as its not a good advertisement for me and she cant look after them at all and cant be honest with me so that i can help her.

I explained that she might be better off with another technician as i dont seem able to fulfill her expectations. Still on good talking terms with her etc its just she is bad for my business!

When dealing with the public we get all sorts of clients. Sometimes there is just a bad bit of fruit in the bowl:lol:. I had a client like this for about 3 months, she use to make me feel soooo nervous I would get that terrible feeling in my stomach before she would arrive, be so critical of my work (I can handle and believe in constructive criticism) constantly complaining and then when another client walked in the door praise accolades about me. I realized that she didn't serve me well and instead of booking her next appointment I told her that it disappointed me that she was not happy with my work and suggested that she would be happier with another nail technician. She then claimed that I had to do her nails as no one else would. Well I was always fully booked when she rang.:)

We learn so much from our clients and their criticism is so important for growth, however if they are the bad fruit, IMO I would let them go.

If these women love moaning so much about the work that your all doing why don't they go to some one else?! If you have just one client that isn't happy with your hard work yet everyone else, trying to get discount me thinks... If they are that unhappy then they surely wouldn't return? If you go to a resturant and your not happy with the food and service, you wouldn't go back!

Do the geeg trick....next time she comes get your clippers out and say"well lets remove them for you then"...when she pulls her hands back and says no you say"ohh I'm sorry i thought you weren't happy with them"...

hi all...so happy to hear your stories...yes she is the only unhappy and moaning one...and I do feel so stressed when she comes...she called me yesterday after 1 week..of course she wants to complain...never picked up...

she has also booked me for a pampering party with her friends/family and because of that...of course she asked me to do her re-fill FOC!!!...aarrgghh..and she is a wealthy person as well...so annoying!!...

I am going to call her back...apologise for not calling her back...listen to the moaning and then suggest she will better off with another technician (anyone from NW London who wants to take her on??...LOL)...

I will let you know what happens...thanks !

thats how shes got her money!!

just keep your confidence about your work...there obviously cant be anything wrong with it as other customers dont have any issues. sadly you will always have one or two customers like this...but then you cant please everybody all of the time.

i used to have a girl come to me. for a few months i did her nails as she wanted-really really long (she wouldnt listen to me!!). everytime she would come back she would have at least 4 broken. in the end i told her i wouldnt do them as long as she wanted until she could show me that she could come back with them all, and none broken...needless to say she stopped coming to me. she has her nails done by someone else now. i still see her as she works where i work evenings and her nails are awful, and she still breaks them!!
