Looking for a bit of advice on where to buy a chair to use for Indian Head Massage that won't break the bank.
I am not trained in them but the girl I have just taken on part time does and she was trained to do them while client is sat in a chair. She showed me a pic of the ones used in college and the best way to describe them is like a directors chair.
Has anyone seen anything like this in anywhere like Ikea or somewhere like that? Don't want to spend a fortune and also my space is limited so maybe a one that folds away.
Tried a camping chair with a blanket over but wasn't sturdy enough!! (Was tried out on my cousin not a playing client!!!)

I got a portable folding Indian Head Massage chair from feelgooduk.net for about £85 including delivery (it also has a carry case). I am mobile and every time I do and Indian Head Massage the clients love it, it is really comfortable and just makes it so much more proffessional. Well worth £85. HTH:lol:

Ok thanks i'll have a look on their website

Hi,

when I did my training at college we just did this on an ordinary chair, like a waiting room chair. I know this may not look extremely professional but im sure I you did get something similar from maybe Ikea that held a large weight, this would be sufficient. After all, it is the service you providing that is the clients main concern, although fancy bits of furniture do look nice as long as its professional looking, thats all that matters.

I too am looking for a chair for this, but wanted one that may also semi recline so could double up for facial waxing as i'm mobile.

Yeah I think it just needs to be sturdy enough and the back low enough to massage the shoulders etc
