Can someone enlighten me please. I was booked into do infills for a client this afternoon but once i got there, she had nails on that had been done in a salon and hadn`t been filled-in for 5 weeks. Anyway, i told her that the product that was on her nail would not match my products but she still wanted me to go ahead with the enhancement anyway. Her nails were done by a salon, so were a honey colour, and no matter what i used, the blend did not match. I did my hardest to try and get rid of the original product, but no such luck. She didn`t know what i was doing was an infill because at the salon, they remove the old nail & put on a completely new one.So that isn`t an infill. What will that be? Am i missing something. Is there anything that can be used to help blend original tips with a new product. Also, when it comes to the tip, she said the salon sprayed on the white of the tip. What is this procedure and were can i get this from. I have always used white powder and didint know this procedure happened and would anyone recommend it.

From the sounds of it, she has discoloration for it to be that obvious.. Tell her why you DO NOT rip of the nail enhancement when you need your whites redone.. And if you have the tallent to form your own whites do that, I only see people without that tallent, time, and patience doing air brush whites..

I would save yourself some trouble and remove them and do a full set, and make sure she pays for a full set too, 5 weeks is a long time to go without a fill.

Thanks for the advice. I did think 5 weeks was a bit too much but i did ask her why she hadn`t gone back to the salon and she said she wasn`t going back because i could do them for her instead. Atleast i now know why they are that colour. obviously it isn`t natural for the enhancements to go that colour.
I have told her that i wasn`t happy with them, but she was.
Thanks again fellow geek.xx.:green:

think i would tend to agree with laurab - get the old ones off, and apply a new set of your product, that way you know you will beable to do an infill, rebalance etc, without the worry of having to match up with diff products - and try and get her in every 2-3 weeks for rebalance too (more cash in your pocket lol)
