Ingrowing hairs

Hair geek here wanted some skin advice from y lovely geeks.
My partner suffers with in growing hairs on his neck, they can leave his skin sore with red blotches after he's been plucking them out!
He's has dark hair and it's very strong , and he uses an electric shaver.
What could you recommend to minimise the In growing hairs

A few clients of mine suffer with razor bump or ingrown hairs on their neck. Some find that shaving with the grain rather than against can help prevent ingrown hairs.
