Hi everybody.. before I start, can I just say, I come on here every day to read posts and see whats new. You all make this site as good as it is so thanks :green:
I'm training at college and have passed every assessment frst time (only got natural overlays left and a bit of nail art) So i'm thinking about broadening my experience and posting some leaflets that I drew up in an attempt to bring in a bit of money to buy more product. (cnd is not cheap) My leaflets offer a skilled, student nail technicians services at low introductory prices.
I'm guessing I would need insurance to do this but when i've looked into it, it seems I can only have insurance if I work alongside a qualified technician. Is this true or am I not looking in the right places?
Thanks in advance to anyone who replies.

Hi hun and welcome to the site.
Someone please correct me if i am wrong but i dont think an insurance company would touch you. If it were me i'd wait that little bit longer until you have the full qualification then get insurance. Work with something that isnt so expensive either as even though you will be qualified it will take a hell of alot of practice until you master the whole thing. Speaking from experience!!! Im sure alot of other people will tell you the same thing. Then, when you have had more practice and have saved up a bit more money you will be able to justify spending that amount of money on a great product such as CND. Hope this helps and i dont sound patronising! xx

i agree, i dont think you will be able to get insured until you are fully licensed, and i wouldnt recommend offering your services to the general public until then... practice on family/friends, yourself and your nail trainer until you are licensed:) i would also like to add in regards to the last post that *in my opinion* you should definitely be learning and practicing with the system youre planning on using in your business. stick with the cnd, it is expensive but try to think of it as an investment!

Thanks for the replies, I am more than capable of providing excellent nail enhancements using cnd so I will not be working with anything cheaper.
maybe your right though and I will have to be patient... nearly there.

Hi, yes I am with BABTAC too :) I am insured for what I am qualified in (mani, pedi, fibreglass, nail art) and I have student cover for what I am doing now (acrylic,gel,etc..) and once I qualify, all I have to do is ring them up and they will update their records xx
