Job Interview

I am horrified got a job interview today for a full time Admin Assistant. Haven't done anything like this before but the manager liked my telephone manner and they will train the right person. The money is £14000 a year which is good for here. My children will be going to a child minder which is scary and i feel guilty about that but we will all benefit from it and i will finally learn to drive!!!!

Good Luck, Just relax.

My trick for interviews is to have a glass of water and take a sip before you answer each question. It stops you from having a dry mouth and making you speak funny! also it helps you to take in the questions and come up with good and correct answers. When I didn't do this I used to come up with loads of rubbish! Now i do this and interviews have become a lot less stressful and I get my point across in a better way.

Had the interview and things seemed to go really well but i was told they would let me know on Monday or Tuesday as yet still haven't heard anything so things are not looking good, have to say that i'm completely gutted was in the interview for over an hour chatting to two gents and it really did seem to go really good and i came out of there buzzing but now i'm completely crestfallen and feel in the need of a good bubble!!!! :cry:

I know they were still interviewing on Monday so it could be that they haven't made their minds up, think i'm just clinging on to hope though!!!

I would give it until Friday and then give them a call. Be professional and just ask them if they have made a decision yet. There's absolutely nothing wrong with doing it.

No news is good news. Be patient and hopefully they will put you out of your misery soon. If they did say you'd find out Monday or Tuesday past, there is no harm at all in calling them to see if there is any progress.

I didn't get the job! They did say that the job was mine until Monday when the interviewed a man you already had experience in the field that it was going to be in, i suppose you could see that as a positive!:cry:

After having an awful week last week i have pulled myself together and started applying for some more jobs so hopefully i will find something soon. I just can't cope with being a stay at home Mum any longer. I love my kids dearly but i miss working and socialising with people and feel i will go potty if i don't get a job soon !

I'm sorry to hear you didn't get the job, however, I'm a great believer in "things happen for a reason".

I know you are feeling down at the moment, but when I was looking for another job, it took me 9 months to find the one I'm in at the moment.

Some jobs I decided there and then that the company wasn't for me and others I was really gutted when I didn't get the job. HOWEVER, I am madly and truly in love with the job and company I am in now, so you just wait and see, the right one will come along in the end.

Really sorry to hear you didnt get the position, but it was not meant to be. Something better will be around the corner. Just keep strong and don't be to dis-heartened. I know how it feels to not be successful, I have had lots of knock backs in the past.
