After seeing a demonstration of konad nail art I decided that I had to get it for myself and I love the idea except I'm just having one problem. I can not get the stamp itself to pick up the polish. I've already contacted the support forum there but they said do it light instead of hard and I have tried both light, hard, and scrapping from all sorts of angles. Can anyone help me?

Although I'm not a tech myself, I do have a couple of the Konad sets at home, and there is a bit of a knack to it. When using the scraper, try to use it with the word Kondad facing upwars on the scraper (don't ask me why, it just seems to work better this way). You also need to complete the whole process very quickly. Once you have put the polish on the plate, scrape it and stamp it as fast as you can, before the polish begins to dry.

It really does just take a bit of practice.

Hope this helps.

I've just taken a look at the online video demo and thought it looks quite a good idea for someone who isn't very artistic (like me!) Do you think this system is worth looking at more closely? Have you mastered the technique yourself?

I used this last night on a lady, I finally managed to do it without smudging, first time though!

I loaded the proper top coat on the brush quite thick, when I applied to the nail I didn't use too much pressure and pulled it down the nail very quickly xx

I have a konad nail art kit too. Its really wierd how some of the patterns pick up and others don't. I saw a tip on you tube about using a nail file to just lightly etch the stamper. Then the pattern picks up. I tried it and it actually works!!!! try it.

Hi Sarahnailz

Do you have a link to the you tube video?:)

um. My computer skills are basic and have no idea how to do it. I will get my Husband to do it.

Hi Newbie here,

I have a similar nail stamper (not konad) and when i first used it i wondered why it wasnt picking up the designs, i then realised that the design plates had a protective film on it (like clingfilm) that had to be removed before use. now it picks up!!!!

you have to file your stamp like for about two minutes. you have to remove the shine on the stamp, then put it on you image with scrape polish you have to put it lightly left to right then stamp it on your nail.
for the bleeding part you really have let it dry.
it's working for me, i just need to polish on hitting the exact spot i want them on my nails.
