Hello

I do offer electrical facials and I have my own ideas about the questions I am asking but am interested to hear others opinions. Here goes...

Would you always follow desincrustation with iontophoresis?

If you are performing extractions, would you ever do these after iontophoresis?

Do you remove gel after desincrustation, carry out extractions, clean face, reapply gel, then do iontophoresis?

Is it acceptable for the client to feel discomfort on the face when the current is being applied?

Is it normal or acceptable for the client to feel discomfort in the hand they are using to hold the bar?

Thank you!

Hi Zoe,

I would normally follow desincrustation with iontopheresis as this allows the products to penetrate the skin more effectively, rebalances the skin plus closes the pores.

I wouldn't ever carry out extractions after iontopheresis, this would be done after desincrustation when the pores are open.Iontopheresis closes the pores

I would always remove gel after desincrustation as this will contain dead skin cells, excess sebum etc, make sure the skin is totally clean and free from creams etc.You can then either reapply gel or use your own products.

No it isn't acceptable for the client to feel discomfort whilst carrying out the treatment,as soon as the client feels any tingling or warming the machine should be adjusted.

There should be no discomfort in the hand either.HTH
