ok i almost fell off my chair today!

Had a lady that got her nails done friday morning, she called me yesterday to say they was looking cloudy round the edges so i told her to come intoday for me to have a look...

Anyway! every one of them had lifting of say a mil round sidewalls and cuticle area. Its been 4 days and she said it started on saturday with her thumbs.

Me myself has had a little problem with lifting on my middle fingers but thats about it, i had one client complain about lifting when i first started training but nothing since, when ive done infills i have noticed a little lifting but never on every finger.

Its put me off!! what am i doing wrong?

Are you sure it is something that YOU are doing wrong? What is the client history with nails. Is she new to nails or an old timer? Lets answer that one first and then go from there.

she had her nails done years ago but couldnt remember if this happened or not.....

Her nails themself looked fine athough she does have eczema on her hands but i couldnt see any noticeable problems on the actual nail plate so i went ahead with the treatment.

i followed the follwoing procedure which i do with every client

1. removed any old polish from nail with acetone and lint free wipe
2. apply vanish to cuticles and massage
3. remove and living tissue from nail plate
4. remove vanish with acetone.
5. remove shine from nails
6. apply nail pure plus
7. apply primer
8 then go ahead with acrylic application

I have to admit though she did have her 15 month old daughter with her and let her run riot in my house, touching everything in sight! and i felt a little nervous cause of that, she didnt seem to mind but i felt like i was doing nails and baby sitting at the same time! so perhaps i was a little careless?? ahhh!!

Hmmm I'm not a l&p geek.

This is just a question, but after you remove the shine from her nails, shouldn't you be removing the dust once again? Or is that what "nail pure plus" is for?

If she has a 15 month old, she must put her nails through a lot.

Goosh ... what allot of products and allot of steps to prep the nails!!! I am spoiled Spoiled using CND ... 1 prep product and no primer. ANYWAY .....

So we have a client with Eczema ... a child running around and you say you might have been careless in the circumstances. Perhaps you've answered your own question.

more than likely yeh :S

i do think its time for a move though, i have tried cnd products now and i do fine a huge difference to what im using now!

Thanks Geeg :)
