Just wondered does anyone use magic foil nail wraps when soaking off bio sculpture? wanted to know if it would cut my times down as it has been 10-15 minutes once i have buffed over, wrapped the nails, heated my wheat bag and then need to wait 10minutes before i start unwrapping!
arrrgh i dont know about anyone else but it drives me bonkers
Any advice would be fab

No using them or any nail wrap will not cut down the time that it takes to remove the product; it removes when it removes whether in a bowl or wrapped individually. In fact, it takes longer to wrap up the nails individually than to soak off in a bowl and it is more expensive so this has to be reflected in the removal price you charge. You can't just absorb an increase in your service costs.

Have a look at Shellac! No need to prepare or buff before removal and service completed much more rapidly both for application and removal.

i will look at shellac, do you know when the launch date is?
the only problem is i work in a very busy salon with 4 nail techs and we do loads of bio ( probs bout 40 a wk thats just fingers) so just wanted to reduce times but dont look like its gonna happen:Scared: we tried in the bowl but took just as long
these soak offs are taking 30 to 40 minutes if i could shave off 10 mins it would be great

Come and have a chat in the Bio Sculpture Group hun...there's loads of conversations on speedier soak offs. I personally use the wrap method, no heat and once I've wrapped the 10th finger, the first is ready to slide off no problems.

Thing you need to remember is that sculpted enhancements will always take longer to soak off than a thin coat of gel applied as an overlay. If i use Bio, as a semi-permanent polish, during a mani, with no apex or added length, then it is off literally in less than 10 minutes.

i always forget to have a look in on the groups but i will now.
ours would never be ready to come off that quickly! do you infill your bios? we do maybe this is the problem??
i think you was the lady that gave me advise a few weeks back about doing an assesment with bio! if you was it all went well and i got my certificate and they are now supplying me again. thanks for your advice, you was right they was really helpfull

just had a look at the group and you gave a very helpfull reply to someone who took an hr to soak off (dont feel so bad now)
i will be trying your technique in work this week to see if it works

You're right, that was me. Glad you got it sorted!

With regards to soak off, I usually only really infill once (apart from sculpts, which I infill until the desired lengths is acheived.

See you in the Bio group! xx
